<p>4月20日是联合国中文日，当地时间4月19日，联合国内罗毕办事处在总部院内与中国驻肯尼亚使馆共同举办盛大活动，庆祝第15个联合国中文日。</p>

<p>驻肯尼亚大使、常驻联合国环境署代表、常驻联合国人居署代表周平剑，联合国副秘书长、内罗毕办事处总干事班古拉，江苏省委常委、常务副省长马欣以及外国驻肯使节、联合国职员、肯尼亚当地学生等250余人出席，这也是联合国内罗毕办事处首次庆祝联合国中文日。</p>

<p>南京大学民乐团带来了《百鸟朝凤》等传统曲目，并与肯尼亚内罗毕大学合唱团合作表演中国传统歌曲《茉莉花》和非洲歌曲《你好》，中国传统乐器与非洲旋律和中文演唱相融合，三者交相辉映，赢得现场来宾经久不息的掌声。</p>

<p>周平剑大使在致辞中表示，中文是中国文化传承的标志和载体，透过中文可以更好读懂中国、 读懂中国人。联合国中文名称中的“联”“合”二字便蕴含万物联通、和合共生的中华民族人文理想，与联合国宪章宗旨和原则高度契合。面临新风险、新挑战，携手推动落实全球文明倡议具有重要积极意义，当今世界更需要“联”，更需要“合”，更需要“联合”。</p>

<p>联合国内罗毕办事处官员贡扎是现场“听课”最认真的来宾之一，跟着老师认真地比画中文的写法。贡扎10年前曾经去过中国，但从没试过写中文，他认为今天的活动非常棒，学写中文非常有趣，给大家带来了很多中国文化体验。</p>

<p>中文是联合国六种官方语言之一，2010年，联合国宣布启动联合国“语言日”项目，推动联合国六种正式语言的平等使用。同年，中国常驻联合国代表团向联合国建议，将中文日定在每年4月20日中国传统节气“谷雨”这一天，以纪念“中华文字始祖”仓颉的贡献。</p>
